I Know I'm A Week Late On This But
Top Albums of 2008

It's 2009, and while I've had this blog registered for actual months now, I'm finally making a first entry. 2008 was an enjoyable year for music. Not great great great. But enjoyable. I think any disappointment was made up for when I heard the Darker My Love & Charlieboy records, '2' & 'ghost.' respectively. '2' for smashing any record in it's way. It's My Bloody Oasis meets California psychadelica done right. To me, it's just a perfect record. I could listen to it over and over again and just love it more with each grooved out listen. And Charlieboy's 'ghost.' for being that unknown, come out of nowhere record that not many people cared about, but when you listened to it for the first time you knew it was something special. It's like if M83 met up with Braid on a snowy day to eat LSD and be as cute as bunnies. Okay, ill stop typing now. But I'll continue to drink my wine. Here's the list.

edit: I wrote that mess above and made the list below last night, obviously a bit tipsy. I'll stand by my top ten, but my god, sorry for the babbling paragraph. At least I had the sense to stop typing and continue drinking. One observation about my list I just made - eight out of my top ten were from North America, mostly the states. And here I thought I was into Brit Pop? USA! USA! USA!
& Sorry for only including descriptions for two of the records. Click the band name to link to their myspace. If you like what you hear add the request to the comments and I'll post it in there. xo.
